Born in New Brompton, Chatham in Kent, he played first-class cricket between 1899 and 1910 for Gloucestershire and Kent.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Player Profile: Arthur du Boulay )〕 A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler, he played nine matches in total, scoring 303 runs with a best of 58 and a batting average of 27.54. His father had also been in the armed forces: Colonel W. E. du Boulay.
